Upset over urea shortage, farmers block highway

FATEHBAD: Farmers of Tohana area of Fatehabad district on Wednesday blocked Chandigarh-Hisar highway for more than one hour to protest against the non-availability of urea. Tohana SHO Pradeep Kumar and agriculture department official Baljeet Singh reached the spot to pacify farmers and asked them to lift the blockade assuring that their problem would be put up before government.Agitated farmers said they were helpless as they needed urea for their rabi crops, mainly wheat.
