Now, get TTD darshan tickets at post offices

Chief Postmaster-General, Andhra Pradesh Postal Service, B.V. Sudhakar on Thursday inaugurated a Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams ticket booking counter at the General Post Office at Abids here, that would allow devotees to initially buy tickets for ‘darshan’ of Lord Balaji at Tirumala up to one month in advance. Initially, they had started with the sale of Rs. 300 darshan ticket and while they were averaging about 2,000 a day at the select head post offices in the circle that spans AP and Telangana, the TTD had allowed them to go up to 5,000 tickets a day. “We have suggested that we could also sell accommodation, ‘Kalyanam’ and other special ‘seva’ tickets and expect to be permitted to do so, soon,” he told presspersons.
