NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- With the 2-14 season in the bank, we’ll spend some time looking back at a dozen plays that defined the Titans' season. I put them in rough order, but we certainly could shuffle the list. Game: Steelers 27, Titans 24; Week 11 at LP Field, Nov. 17, 2014. Situation: The Titans handed the Steelers a touchdown on their opening play from scrimmage when Zach Mettenberger threw a pick-six to William Gay. (We may see that play on this list.) Tennessee got the ball back trailing 13-10 with 44 seconds remaining before halftime. Play: On first-and-10 from the Titans’ own 20, Nate Washington made a double move on Gay, Mettenberger stood in and launched a bomb the receiver ran under. Washington easily took it to the end zone for the touchdown, giving the Titans a 17-13 lead on "Monday Night Football" and giving LP Field its most electric moment of the season. The Titans were having fun. They thought Gay had a penchant for losing to a double move, they called it and they executed it. It would have been bigger if it contributed to a win, but ultimately the run defense made sure the Steelers won. Here’s a Twitter follower who suggested it: The rundown: No. 10: Le’Veon Bell running out the clock. No. 11: Sammie Hill’s field goal block against the Jaguars No 12: Chris Spencer’s false start on a kneel down.
