Raj Jatania: AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA has made me more positive

From being a professional dancer in choreographer Ganesh Hegde's troupe to doing small parts in TV shows like 'Crime Patrol', actor Raj Jatania is all set to make his debut with a Gujarati film AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA, produced by Vijay Khatri under the banner of Bhagat Entertainment and directed by Tejas Padiaa.

Ask Raj how he bagged the film and he says, "Tejas saw my profile on social media and contacted me. I met him and gave 3-4 auditions. I was very serious about this role."

However, Raj wasn't initially keen to do the film. Reason? Well, Raj didn't want to do a Gujarati film. Nevertheless, his perception changed after working in AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA. "When Tejas came up with the film, which was in Gujarati, I wasn't really keen to do it. As I always believed that Gujarati Cinema is all about heroes wearing Kedia and heroines dancing around in Ghaghra choli. But Tejas Padiaa's script was so powerful that I willingly accepted it. The concept of the film was very novel. Having said that, being a Gujarati, I was really proud of signing this film. In a way, I was contributing here. I believe Gujarati industry will upgrade now and more and more good subjects will come up henceforth. People will gain confidence after watching this film," says Raj.

Raj further adds that despite being a Gujarati flick, AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA has Bollywood touch, "Technically AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA is a strong film. The technicians are from Bollywood. Tejas Padiaa's background has been Bollywood and he has that mindset also. He has assisted the likes of Satish Kaushik and Neeraj Vora. So the heart of this film is Bollywood."

As Sankranti is a big festival in Gujarat, probe Raj if it will affect the film and he says, "It will be a cherry on cake. We are already receiving a tremendous response."

Since the film emphasizes on 'Karma theory', ask Raj if he believes in it and he gets candid, "Frankly, I never really used to think much on Karma until this film happened. I have become more positive in life and my outlook has changed after working in this film. And I am sure when the audiences will catch the film in theatres even they will be inspired. In fact, whoever has heard the narration in one line, they were really taken aback."

Raj is elated to fulfil his father's dream with AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA. "I am on cloud nine and I am happy that I am fulfilling my father's dream. My dad wanted to be an actor. Since our financial position was not that good, he couldn't materialize his dream. However, he always encouraged me to be an actor."

AA TE KEVI DUNNIYA also stars, Yatin Parmar, Kinjal Pandya, Sunil Vishrani, Jayesh More, Krishna Rawal, RajKumar Kanojia, Falguni Desai, Padmesh Pandit and Sanat Vyas and all set to release on 9th January, 2015.
