CHENNAI: The Madras high court has dismissed the bail plea of Madurai-based lawyer B Williams, who is an accused in the murder of neurosurgeon Dr S D Subbiah in Chennai.
Subbiah was hacked to death by a gang in Chennai on September 14, 2013, over a property issue.
Williams, who had been absconding, surrendered before the XXIII metropolitan magistrate court in Chennai after his anticipatory bail was rejected by the Supreme Court in November last year.

Justice P Devadoss dismissed his bail plea on Wednesday. It was the second time that his bail plea was rejected by the court. Earlier, Justice G M Akbar Ali rejected his bail plea in March 2014.
