3 die in Barisal crash
A head-on collision between a bus and a Mahindra three-wheeler has killed three persons and left one injured at Barisal’s Ujirpur.

Ujirpur Police Station OC Nurul Islam said the accident occurred on Barisal-Banaripara road near the Upazila’s Narayanpur Bazar area at 11:30am on Thursday.
OC Islam said a Banaripara-bound Mahindra tried to overtake another when a bus rushed in from the opposite direction and slammed into it.
Three passengers of the Mahindra died on the spot.
Of the deceased only one was identified so far as Awlad Hossain, 42. He worked at the Barisal Customs Office and was a resident of Barguna.
An injured passenger was admitted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
