Sri Lanka recalled left-handed opener Dimuth Karunaratne for the World Cup and included fast bowler Lasith Malinga subject to a fitness test.

Most of the squad was already in New Zealand preparing for a seven-match one-day international series starting on Sunday.

Karunaratne has not played an ODI since December 2013, but he was part of the squad that won the recent home series against England 5-2, and scored his maiden Test century in the first Test against New Zealand last month.
