    Synopsis

The decision was taken at a meeting of the board of governors on Wed evening. With this hike, IIM-B continues to remain the costliest among the IIMs.

    ET Bureau
MUMBAI: IIM Bangalore has hiked the fees for its two-year flagship PGP programme by 10% from the current Rs 17 lakh, to be implemented from the 2015-17 session.
The decision to increase the fees was taken at a meeting of the board of governors on Wednesday evening. With this hike, IIM-B continues to remain the costliest among the IIMs.

ET had mentioned in a report on January 2 that IIM Bangalore was likely to hike fees, like its counterpart at Ahmedabad, since both hadn't raised fees for the last two years.

Incidentally, IIM Ahmedabad had been the first off the block in mid-November by announcing a fee hike for its PGP and PGP-ABM programmes from the present Rs 16.6 lakh to Rs. 18.5 lakh from the 2015-17 session. The PGPX course fee is also being raised from Rs. 21.5 lakh to Rs 24 lakh for the batch commencing from April 2015.
