Though Sijoy Varghese is only five films old, he is already scaling new heights. The actor is upbeat to have got an opportunity to work with none other than Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in the upcoming Hindi-English bilingual Waiting.
Sijoy says, “I don’t have any combination scenes with Naseeruddin Shah. However, just meeting him itself was truly a dream come true for me.” About his role in the film, Sijoy says, “I am playing Dr Rao in the film, is all I can say for now.
It is a small yet prominent role. I cherish the whole experience.” The movie, which will see Kalki Kochelin in the lead, revolves around the incidents in a hospital where bystanders of two patients in a critical condition share a special bond with each other.
After working as an associate director and actor in Mollywood, did he feel any difference working for a B-Town film? “Though both the industries are professional, Hindi film industry is more disciplined and organized. They have a clear cut idea about what they want from each and every person involved with the project and how to execute it,” says Sijoy.
Meanwhile, the actor, who was also the co-writer of the segment Isha in Anchu Sundarikal, is currently enjoying his Mollywood stint. “It was my character, ACP Gautham Viswanath, in Joshiy sir’s Avatharam that gave me a break in the industry.
