Minister flags off train

The minister of state for railway Manoj Sinha flagged off Manduadih-Ghazipur-Chhapra diesel electric unit (DMU) train (75102/75101) through video conferencing from Ghazipur City Railway Station on Monday.

Varanasi: The minister of state for railway Manoj Sinha flagged off Manduadih-Ghazipur-Chhapra diesel electric unit (DMU) train (75102/75101) through video conferencing from Ghazipur City Railway Station on Monday.
Sinha said that DMU train between Manduadih and Chhapra was announced in the railway budget. The Indian Railway arranged a new rack for DMU at the cost of about Rs 14 crore, he said, adding that coaches are equipped with toilet facility.
He said that there is a planning to start a new train between Lucknow and Chhapra via Varanasi next month.
A fund of Rs 7 crore is being spent for improvement and expansion of passenger facilities at Ghazipur City Railway Station. The work would include foot overbridge and automatic escalator.
General manager of North Eastern Railway Rajeev Mishra said that DMU would operate on all days except Sundays.
