Civic polls: Candidates can land helicopter of star campaigners for 2,500

INDORE: Candidates of civic elections in Indore will have to pay just Rs 2,500 for single-landing operation of helicopter of their star campaigners at a helipad during the ensuing elections.
Gearing up for civic polls, Indore district administration on Sunday released the list of 12 helipads for their star campaigners and also put a price tag on the service of helipad.
According to rate chart issued by administration, a candidate will have to apply to the service four days in advance with details of the leader, timing and venue. For single-landing operation at a permanent helipad, the candidate will have to pay Rs 2,500 to Public Works Department (PWD) while for a temporary helipad the candidate will have to pay Rs 5,000.
Cost for landing at helipad will be added to election expenses of the candidate.
Helipads identified by the administration include permanent helipad at PTS Ground Indore, ITI Campus Simrol and temporary helipads at Betma, Depalpur, Hatod, Gautampura, Sanwer, Mhow sub jail, Manpur, Khudel and Ujjaini.
