Rlys tighten security, plies special trains for Magh Mela

North Central Railway has geared for the first bathing day, Paush Poornima in Magh Mela on Monday. Special trains are being plied and extra coaches have been attached in the trains. The security at the Allahabad railway junction and the adjoining small stations has also been increased. Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) forces have been deployed at the sensitive points at the Allahabad junction and small stations to keep vigil on the suspicious elements.

North Central Railway has geared for the first bathing day, Paush Poornima in Magh Mela on Monday. Special trains are being plied and extra coaches have been attached in the trains. The security at the Allahabad railway junction and the adjoining small stations has also been increased. Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) forces have been deployed at the sensitive points at the Allahabad junction and small stations to keep vigil on the suspicious elements.

Additional forces of RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force) has also been called at Allahabad from different divisions of railway. Talking to TOI, CO of Government Railway Police OP Singh informed that about 2 companies of PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) and about 1000 police personnel have been deployed at Allahabad railway junction and other adjoining stations in the vicinity of Allahabad.
In addition to this, anti-sabotage checking team, bomb disposal squad and dog squad have been pressed into service. A checking drive was also conducted at the Allahabad junction on Sunday where security personnel checked the luggage of the passengers and the parcels. In addition to this, checking drive was also conducted in the circulating area, ticket booking counters and also the vehicles parked in the parking area. Temporary police outposts of GRP have been set up at the stations of Jhunsi, Prayag Ghat, Phulpur, Bharwari, Daraganj.
RPF has also galvanized its resources to beef up the security at the station and in the trains. The companies of RPSF have been deployed at the stations of Allahabad and Naini.
Vigil is being maintained on the suspicious activities of nefarious elements through CCTVs, which has been placed at various points of the Allahabad railway junction. Trains are also routinely being checked that are arriving at the Allahabad railway junction and the smaller stations.
Special train will be plied between Allahabad-Manikpur, Allahabad-Chunar and Allahabad-Mughalsarai. In addition to this, trains will also be plied from Rambagh station and Prayag station. Further, extra coaches have also been augmented in various trains during the Mela period. Two general coaches have been attached in train number 14125 Allahabad-Faizabad Saryu Express, train number 54109/54110 Mughalsarai-Faizabad passenger, train number Allahabad-Unchahar Kanpur passenger, train number 54103/54104 Chunar-Allahabad passenger, train number 51823/51824 Allahabad-Farukkhabad passenger, train number 51825/51826 Kanpur-Farukkhabad passenger and train number 54107/54108 Allahabad-Jaunpur passenger on the main bathing days.
