HYDERABAD: In a bid to improve coordination between the government and his party, chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu has formed an informal core group with son Nara Lokesh as a member.
The core panel was set up after Naidu’s day-long interaction with people’s representatives on Saturday. Lokesh is said to have played a proactive role during the session, suggesting a focused approach to bridge the gap between the party and government.

Yet to be announced officially, the core group’s main work includes interacting with party workers right from grassroots level, besides guiding the party leadership in the districts.
The group includes finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, senior leader Kala Venkata Rao, government chief whip Kalva Srinivasulu, former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, former MLA Payyavula Keshav and Lokesh as its members.
To begin with, the group will take up grievances of farmers, who did not receive the benefit of loan waiver scheme. Later, they would take up the issue of selection of beneficiaries for various pension schemes.
Addressing the media, Srinivasulu and Chandramohan Reddy said that the party will encourage kite flying, traditional cuisine and Rangoli competitions during Sankranti.
