GURGAON: On the second day of the three-day training camp for the newly elected BJP legislators of Haryana in Surajkund, Union home minister Rajnath Singh gave them lessons on how to conduct themselves inside and outside the assembly.
Singh also gave the legislators a lecture on how they can contribute to the development of the state in a better way.
Calling upon BJP MLAs to rise above the considerations of caste, creed and party ideologies, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that serving people of the state should be of utmost importance.

“I am not a leader of any caste, and to serve the people and the state is uppermost in my mind,” Khattar said at the training programme. He asked the legislators to take a pledge to serve the people and urged them to mix with those belonging to different castes and ideologies.
The BJP government aims to ensure all-round development of the state and answer the expectations of the people who have reposed unprecedented faith in the party, said an official release quoting Khattar.
The chief minister also urged the MLAs to make maximum use of information technology. The government has fixed the target of bringing online all tehsils by January 31, he said.
Calling corruption a “cancer”, he said that joint efforts should be made to completely root it out. Ensuring transparent governance is government’s responsibility, he said.

Among those who were present included education minister Ram Bilas Sharma, finance minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, agriculture minister O P Dhankar, said the release.
According to state BJP leaders, the party felt the need to organize such a training camp because of its 47 MLAs in the assembly, 38 are first-time legislators.
The party feels these MLAs need training on how to conduct themselves inside as well as outside the House.
The training camp comes in the wake of BJP members shooting their mouths off on various issues that have given the opposition ammunition to target the government.
