Nimbalkar transferred to Fire services
The 1998-batch IPS officer M Hemant Nimbalkar , Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) who played a key role in the arrest of Mehdi Masroor Biswas, the IS Twitter Handler, has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police to Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services, Bengaluru. Nimbalkar was made Joint Commissioner in July, 2013 and has served for 18 months. He has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
M Chandra Sekhar, also from the 1998 batch who was serving as Deputy Inspector General of Police Karnataka State Fire & Emergency Services has been posted to Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime). The transfer and postings are with immediate effect.
ADGP Bipin Gopal Krishna who was serving in CID has been promoted to the rank of DGP and will be continued in the same post
