Jaswant Singh home from hospital after 4 months

Former BJP vet eran Jaswant Singh was discharged from Army Research and Referral (R&R) hospital on Tuesday . Hospital sources said the 76-year-old, who went into coma after suffering severe head injury four months ago following a fall at his house, has recovered significantly .

NEW DELHI: Former BJP vet eran Jaswant Singh was discharged from Army Research and Referral (R&R) hospital on Tuesday . Hospital sources said the 76-year-old, who went into coma after suffering severe head injury four months ago following a fall at his house, has recovered significantly . He can open his eyes and at times also recognise some of his family members.
“He is in a 'minimally conscious state' and will continue with 'supportive care' at home,“ said a senior official.He said Singh is breathing on his own and his heart rhythm and blood pressure are normal.
Speaking to TOI, Jaswant Singh's son Manvendra Singh said, “We are grateful to the doctors who treated our father. His condition has improved.“
Jaswant Singh served as external affairs and finance minister in Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government.
