Modi working for corporates: CPM leader Raghavulu
VIJAYWADA: Charging that Narendra Modi government is working for the corporate forces and realtor mafia, CPM politburo member BV Raghavulu has alleged that pressure from Chandrababu Naidu government too had forced the Centre to bring in amendments to the land acquisition. He demanded that the Centre should withdraw the ordinance on amendments to the land acquisition Act.
Speaking at a meeting in Bar Association here on Tuesday, Raghuvaulu criticised both the state and central governments for working against the commoners interest. “Let Narendra Modi and Chandrababu Naidu explain as to how the tinkering to the land acquisition Act helps the poor farmers in the country,” he demanded.
He said that AP government was trying to pool up nearly 30000 acres only to benefit the realtors but not the commoners. He said that capital city construction had not involved any commoners interest to acquire so much of land. He said that Chandrababu Naidu government was trying to help the realtors and those invested party’s election expenditure. He said that capital city should be an administrative head quarter for the state and not the estate of real-estate mafia. He said that CRDA bill was brought in with complete violation of constitution and laws.
He said that there was no clarity about the status of village panchayaths and its powers in the CRDA bill. He demanded that the state government should provide government jobs to at least one from each farmers family who give up their land for the capital city. He said that no country had developed just with construction of its capital city. He suggested CM to decentralize the development in all the 13 districts of the state instead of centralizing in Vijayawada and Guntur. He said that the laying focus on development of ports and industries would also help achieve employment and economic growth. Bezawada Bar Association (BBA) president Sampara Durga Srinivasa Rao presided over the meeting.
