Transpac Names Desai-Silva to VP Post

Transpac has named Swathi Desai-Silva as vice president of product development and merchandising for Foreside Home and Garden. She replaces Claire Woodsum, who has left the company.

Desai-Silva has been working with Transpac as a creative director and catalog stylist for the past six months, assisting in revamping the logo, catalogs, and product categories and designs. Prior to working with Transpac, Desai-Silva had a broad history working as a designer for companies such as Esprit, G. Hensler, Mervyns and Bueno of California. She has worked on a variety of Private Label categories including cosmetic bags for Sephora; accessories for J Crew, The Gap, Urban Outfitters, Victoria’s Secret, Betsy Johnson and Anthropologie. Most recently, she was a designer and stylist/owner of Interior Compass, which focused on residential interior design.
