MUMBAI: A 45-year-old Nalasopara man allegedly hanged himself in a lodge close to his place of residence on Saturday night. The body was discovered on Sunday.
Muffadal Durgwala stayed with his wife and three daughters in Zainab Apartment, Achole Road, Nallasopara (east).
On December 27, after his family left for a wedding in Bendi Bazar, Durgwala checked into the nearby Vraj Guest House.

On Sunday, when the waiter knocked at Durgwala's door there was no response. The manager entered the room using duplicate keys and found Durgwala hanging from the ceiling fan.
He did not leave behind a suicide note. The Nalasopara police contacted the family who had stayed back in Mumbai post wedding.
A case of accidental death has been registered.
