The erstwhile Cool Chef Café rechristened itself after Jules Verne's Captain Nemo earlier this year, and presented us with a variety of cuisines to choose from. Their year-end menu is no different, with inclusions like sweet potato and truffled mascarpone soup, and bacon and water chestnut gyoza.

Sun n Sand's Chinese eatery is celebrating its first anniversary by adopting a `more-the-merrier' policy. This, they are doing, by incorporating Thai cuisine. Apart from the usual suspects -Thai green and red curries -they have also added fish cakes, Thai roast duck and Massaman lamb to their menu. P.S. BYBLOS KITCHEN + BAR

The new restaurant on the block, which threw open its doors to guests last month, is offering an unusual high-tea experience for you. Forget scones and crumpets. At their Middle Eastern high tea, it's all about mini falafels and paneer shawarmas, along with hummus and rock corn served with peri peri fonduta.

Have a soft spot for grilled meats and American whiskey? You are going to love TGI Fridays' Jack Daniels menu, that sounds finger-licking good. Slow cooked pork ribs and juicy steaks, seasoned with Tennessee whiskey, are on the cards.

SILVER BEACH CAFÉ

The Fort outpost of Silver Beach Café is helping folks fight the slight chill in the air (cause winter is never coming here), by introducing a range of piping hot soups. New inclusions are lentil and spinach broth, carrot-orange soup with aniseed and shaved fennel, wild mushroom cappuccino with cinnamon foam and Greek chicken and cous cous broth with sour cream.
