JAMMU, Dec 28: Nirvana Academy organized seventh season of musical competition in Pandit Uma Dutt Sangeet Mahotsav, here today.
More than 120 participants from different parts of Jammu region took part in the programme and displayed their talent in different age group categories of the competition.
In Instrumental (age category of up to 10 years), Aditya Goutam secured first position and  Prisha Chandoke second while Molik Gupta and Snigda Gupta shared third position.
In Group B; Sakshay Sagar bagged first prize while Ishan and Vikrant secured second prize.
In Group C; Suvir Pratap Singh was first, Aadya Sambyal and Lavanya second while Pavit and Arjun Veer Singh shared third position.
In 11-14 years age category (Instrumental),  Kartik Sanyal bagged first prize, Ananya Mahajan second and  Amrit Harsh Raj  third prize.
In Group B; Mian Mohd  Raza bagged first prize, Kaustav and Gauri second prize, Muskaan and Ranjit third prize.
In below 10 category (Guitar Instrumental), Suvinaya Jain got first prize and  Parth second while Manya and Myank shared third prize.
In below 10 Solo Singing, Kunwar, Haripriya and Bhumika shared first position while   Pragati was adjudged second and Vyom third.
In Group B; Rishan was first, Ghandharav and Hamad Self Choudhary were second while Adita Dhar was third.
In Group Singing (11-14 years),  Strings Guitar Group secured first prize while in
15-18 years age group, Strings Jackers bagged first prize.
In Solo Singing (11-14 years), Rehan Goel was first, Akshita Mengi was second and Vinamra Jamwal was third.
In Group B,  Kartavya Mahajan was first while  Arihan and  Aryman were adjudged second.
In Group C, Sahar Rohmetra secured first prize, Abhijot and Ridham Chatwal shared second position while Meha Gupta and Ayush Pandita bagged third prize.
In Instrumental (11-14 years), Dannanjay was adjudged first, Kavya and Siya second, Aditya and Apurv third.
In Group B, Naman Chandhoke was first, Jaikaran Sethi was second and  Manas Arora was third.
In Group C, Vanshika Bindroo was first, Vanamelin and Sarthak shared second position  while Rishab and Dhruv shared third position.
In Group D, Navtej Singh and Semal Gupta were adjudged first and  Aniran Saraf second while Shivay and Riya shared third position.
In Solo Singing (11-14 years),  Rishi Bushan was first and  Vedant Gupta was second while  Satyam and Raghav shared third position.
In duet singing,  Anubhav and Dhamesh Koul shared first position while Anish and Siddhant were adjudged second.
In Solo Singing (15-18 years),  Arhav Bhasin was first while in  Group B,  Tejas Gupta was first and in  Group C,  Akhil Sharma was first.
In 19-22 years age group (Solo Singing),  Urvashi Sharma was first,  Shammi second and
Sourabh third.
Duet song (19-22 years),  Akhil duo group was adjudged first while  Sanchit and Atul were second.
In 19-22 years (Instrumental),  Adit Kazi was first and  Pankshi was second while in Duet Instrumental,  Akhil Sharma duo was first.
Krishan Lal Verma,  HOD (Retd) Fine Arts College, was the chief guest on the occasion while Vikrant Dogra, Vice Chairman FIBDO and   Pradeep Dutta from the Times Now were the guests of honour. P S Wazir, Ex Army officer and Golden Guitar Awardee, adjudged the programme.
Naval Deep Kour hosted the programme, Sanchit Dewan coordinated the event and sound was designed by Anshul.
The main motive of the programme was to explore hidden talent among the children, youth and budding artists of the state so that they can able to compete with the other talented youth of the country.
According to Hitesh Badyal, president of Nirvana Academy,   objective of organizing such programme was to bring all such type of talented and  budding artist under one umbrella.
Speaking on the occasion Krishan Lal Verma threw the light on the life and achievements of Pandit Uma Dutt Sharma, who was born in April 1900 and received his training in Tabla and Pakhawaj from his Guru Sardar Harnam Singh.  Pandit Uma Dutt  gave the responsibility of taking the Santoor on the world stage to his son Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma after extensive research on its possibilities.
