Srinagar: Hectic and “serious” negotiations between the regional Peoples’ Democratic Party and the BJP are continuing in Srinagar and New Delhi.
Reports suggest the two have agreed to take their talks to a “logical conclusion” after accommodating each others’ standpoints on issues that are not too contentious or clash with their basic ideologies.
The endeavour now is to overcome the peculiarities of the views expressed by either side in public and to try to understand a variety of alternative propositions on which discussions could be taken forward, and fashioned into a “common minimum programme”, sources said Sunday.
