Fernandinho's first goal of the season might be the best goal of the season

Fernandinho hadn’t registered a single shot on goal for Manchester City this season until Sunday against Burnley, when he all but sealed three points after just 33 minutes. With City already up 1-0, Fernandinho hit an absolutely perfect strike off the underside of the crossbar, giving Tom Heaton no chance to save it.

Astonishingly, Burnley fought back to earn a draw. George Boyd scored just after halftime, and Ashley Barnes took advantage of chaos in the Manchester City penalty area to score an equalizer in the 81st minute.

With the draw, Manchester City will start the new year with 43 points from 19 games, three behind Chelsea with 46.
