Gunmen kill Ahmadi farmer in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA - Gunmen in Gujranwala on Saturday shot dead a farmer from the Ahmadi community, police and a spokesman said.
Luqman Ahad, 25, was hit by a single bullet in his head and died on the spot, Rohail Sabir, a senior police official in Gujranwala told AFP.
Police are investigating the motives for the killing, which occurred early Saturday in a village in district Gujranwala.
"Luqman Ahad was murdered while he was on his way from his home to his farm," said Saleemud Din, a spokesman for the community.
According to Reuters, Luqman Ahad was the eleventh person killed for being Ahmadi in Pakistan this year.
Woman burnt alive
 Staff Reporter from Sheikhupura adds: A woman burnt alive while her son and a daughter sustained critical burns in village Syedwala the other night.
As per details, housewife Sarwari Bibi had kept burning coal fire in the room to warm it up. After being slept an edge of her quilt fell on the burning fire which caught fire. As a result the woman burnt alive while her son and daughter received critical burns and shifted to hospital.
