HYDERABAD: Months of agony and suspense finally come to an end for Pragyan Ojha with the Indian cricket board (BCCI) asking the left-arm spinner to undergo rehabilitation in Chennai for suspect action. "We received a mail from the BCCI about Ojha having to undergo rehabilitation in Chennai. Hence, he will not be playing the next few games for Hyderabad," confirmed HCA secretary John Manoj.

"The player has been told about it and we will decide on his going to Chennai in a couple of days. Ojha will have to be in Chennai for a fortnight or so but we are confident that he will come through this without any problem. It's a technical matter and the HCA is fully with the player as he undergoes this process," Manoj said.
Ojha had been in the news since former Test umpire AV Jayaprakash had, a couple of months ago, revealed that the left-arm spinner had been reported while playing domestic cricket last season. At that time Jayaprakash had said: "Many bowlers get reported. They get cleared too. We have found him okay. He was there last year also. One or two balls the umpires felt were suspect. We told them it is okay, there is no problem."
Though Ojha was not officially intimated, he had to endure a lot of probing eyes which seemed to have an effect his performance and the player was not his old self after that. Though he did get a couple of wickets for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy, the bite was missing.
