DS London - Ed Sheeran has dominated the music categories at the 2014 Digital Spy Reader Awards.
A total of 26,942 people voted in the complete poll, and Sheeran picked up the most votes in the Best Song, Best Album and Best Male Solo Artist categories. Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ was named the song of the year ahead of Ella Henderson’s ‘Ghost’, while his second record x won the album prize, ahead of Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour.
The singer-songwriter’s friend Taylor Swift won the Best Female Solo Artist category, pushing Ella Henderson into second place. One Direction, who collaborated with Sheeran on FOUR album track ‘18’, won the Best Group prize for the second year in a row.
