TDP, YSRC flay ‘unresponsive’ officials

December 26, 2014 11:59 pm | Updated 11:59 pm IST - SRIKAKULAM:

TDP and YSRC public representatives on Friday expressed concern over the inordinate delay in providing answers to their questions being sent to various departments through Srikakulam Zilla Parishad. The issue has rocked the council general body meeting. MLA Kalamata Venkata raised the issue alleging that the officials were providing information only in the general body meeting where it was not possible for MLAs to go through them completely. Agreeing with his argument, MLA Gautu Shyam Sundar Shivaji said that there should be stipulated time for officials in providing information.

Intervening in the discussion, Labour Minister K. Atchannaidu asked the officials to provide information within 15 days after getting the questions from the respective members. Earlier, Mr. Shivaji registered his protest at the main gate of Zilla Parishad hall, alleging that his vehicle was not allowed inside.
