Having quit the show almost two months ago after his track as Adham Khan ended on the show, Chetan Hansraj will soon make a come-back on Zee TV’s historical magnum opus – Jodha Akbar.
Returning as Adham Khan’s son – Haider, the actor is glad to be back on the sets. Talking about his new character, he said, “Haider’s character is quite interesting. He has nurtured hatred for Akbar since childhood as Akbar murdered his father. On the other hand, he is good friends with Akbar’s son Salim. The audiences will surely enjoy watching me play Haider as he brings along a lot of interesting twists in the show.”
A seasoned actor, Chetan has received immense appreciation from audiences and critics for portraying negative roles. “There is far more challenge in playing a negative character. There are various shades to a grey character, and my current role is one of a shrewd, conniving, conspiring man who longs to get even with the man who he holds responsible for his father’s death.”
As the show takes a seven year leap, it will see an inclusion of many new actors apart from Chetan. While Jodha (played by Paridhi Sharma) and Akbar (played by Rajat Tokas) will continue to play their parts, various new characters will be introduced in the show as the adult Salim, Anarkali and his other cousins.
