Alka Yagnik, Shaan and Monali Thakur to judge Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 5

After the success of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and the other editions of Li’l Champs, Zee TV plans to launch the new season of the music reality show for kids, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs 5 on December 27. The show will telecast every Saturday and Sunday at 9 pm and will run for over 13 weeks. The 12 children—six boys and girls will be groomed and given a chance to showcase their talent on a wide platform.
Initially, in the first few weeks, the format will work on the lines of boys versus girls, adding several twists and turns as the show progresses. Zee TV’s Programming Head, Namit Sharma says, “The show is about grooming the 12 youngsters that have been selected from the scores we auditioned across India. The talent of these kids will leave you spellbound.”
The children will be mentored by Shaan and Monali Thakur who step in as Captains of the boys and girls team respectively. They will also judge the performances of the contestants, while the Mahaguru, Alka Yagnik will also motivate and groom the contestants, and have the final say in the decision. The show will be hosted by Aditya Narayan. “I have been associated with this show for over a decade now, having hosted the first season of Li’l Champs, and am very happy with the association. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has always given a platform to talent across India to improve their skills and give them better exposure. After listening to these Li’L champs I am stunned that we have such great aspiring and amazing singers. We will try to mentor them in the best manner,” says Shaan.
Zee Music Company will also partner with the channel in terms of co-creating and promoting exclusive music content with the Li’l Champs.
