Samshi in Dharwad district is hottest at 39.8°C

MANGALURU: Samshihobli in Kundgoltaluk of Dharwad district recorded maximum temperature of 39.8°C on December 24 at 3.15pm.
Halburgahobli in Bhalkitaluk of Bidar district recorded lowest minimum temperature of 4.9°C at 6.15am on December 24. More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 46.7% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 3.4% geographical area in the state.
Rainfall over the state is considered as negligible. Very light rain was recorded in 26 gram panchayats and no rain in remaining 1,916 GPs.
Karnataka for period from December 19 to December 25 recorded deficit rainfall of 73%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.6mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 0.2mm.
For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on December 24, four geographical regions received 0.1mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 0.2mm, a deficit of 80%.
