ACME to supply telecom passive infra to PGCIL

ACME, the leader and pioneer in the development of green technology solutions in India, today announced that it has bagged orders from Power Grid Corporation India (PGCIL) worth Rs 115 million/ USD 2.87 million.

Under these contracts, ACME will do the planning, designing, engineering and manufacturing and supplying of the telecom Passive Infrastructure. ACME will also provide other energy requirements including ACME’s path-breaking and innovative power interface units and solar photo voltaic power supply systems.

As per the contract, the project needs to be completed within one year after the date of awarding the contract.

Commenting on the development, Samir Sharan, chief executive office, ACME said, ''We thank PGCIL for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the nation's growth through implementing green technologies in telecom sector and cutting down the carbon footprint.

This contract is a testimony to the prowess of ACME Group and further strengthens our position as the largest player in providing green energy solutions. We believe that these model telecom infra will help PGCIL to manage their infrastructure optimally.''

Shares of the company declined Rs 3.6, or 2.58%, to trade at Rs 135.70. The total volume of shares traded was 70,987 at the BSE (2.45 p.m., Wednesday).
