Marco Reus Transfer: Jupp Heynckes Urges Him To Join Real Madrid, Not Bayern Munich
Marco Reus has been urged to join Real Madrid and not Bayern Munich if he decides to leave Borussia Dortmund.
Reus is widely regarded as one of the most skillful midfielders in European soccer. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder, who is also able to play on the wing, has excelled at Borussia Dortmund since he joined Jurgen Klopp’s side in 2012 from Borussia Monchengladbach.
However, Borussia Dortmund are currently experiencing a woeful campaign and it’s believed that Marco Reus will likely leave the club if they, as expected, don’t qualify for next season’s Champions League. Some have even speculated that he could leave in the January transfer window.
Reus is believed to currently be mulling over offers from both Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. According to Fox Sports, he has now been told by former Munich boss, Jupp Heynckes, that he should move to Spain rather than Germany.
“I would recommend going to Madrid. Bayern have four or five world class players up front. Where would Reus play? If he really has that [release] clause of $25 million all the big European teams should go for him.”
The Daily Star has recently reported that the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United were all interested in purchasing Marco Reus.

In fact, the Daily Star believe, courtesy of reports in Spain, that Real Madrid have already secured the signature of Marco Reus on a five-year-deal.
It looks as though struggling Borussia Dortmund are going to struggle to keep hold of their best players over the next few months. Mats Hummels, who was a big part of Germany’s progression to World Cup glory in Brazil in the summer, has also been heavily linked with a move away from the German side over the last few months.
Manchester United are believed to be preparing a bid for Mats Hummels. The defender himself has even made comments over the last few days that has suggested he is considering a transfer.
As the Inquisitr recently reported, after Borussia Dortmund lost their 11th game of the season, which left them near the bottom of the Bundesliga, Hummels voiced his venom at how pathetic they had been recently.
“We’ve managed pretty well at home in recent weeks, but not at all away. It’s pretty astonishing that we are so pathetic.”
