‘Haryana to probe Vadra land deals’

BJP state in-charge Jain says govt may set up a commission.

The Haryana government would initiate an inquiry into the land deals of Robert Vadra, said BJP national secretary and state in-charge Anil Jain Tuesday. He said the government is likely to set up a commission for conducting the inquiry.

The Robert Vadra-DLF deal is under the scanner with IAS officer Ashok Khemka having cancelled the mutation of the land deal.

The Haryana government has also failed to trace the documents that were recently found to be missing from the files pertaining to the deal.

Jain said he has held a meeting with the Chief Minister and Cabinet ministers where several issues including the land deals were discussed.

“We are not working on vindictive basis. In order to bring out the facts of the issue in the open, the government would be initiating an inquiry or setting up a commission. The details would be decided by the government in the coming days,” he said.

Festive offer

Refuting allegations that there was discord among the ministers, he said he has asked all of them to come up with one flagship scheme for each of the departments. Another meeting would be held within a fortnight where these schemes would be discussed.

Jain also informed that the party would be holding a training programme for BJP MLAs from January 2 to 4 at Surajkund.
