Premier Genuine Leather Amrita Film Awards 2014, one of the prestigious film awards in the realm of Malayalam cinema, took place on Saturday, 20 December at Swapna Nagari Ground in Kozhikode, to honour the best film-makers and actors of the industry.
Kajal Aggarwal was a special guest at the grand award function. Amala Paul and Kajal, who have earlier featured together in Ram Charan's Telugu film "Naayak" in 2013, had some candid moments taking selfies during the award night.
Amala, who received the best actress award for the film "Oru Indian Pranayakadha", shared some pictures of the duo on her Facebook page.

The hosts of the show, Ramesh Pisharody and Rajini Haridas, were also seen taking selfies with Kajal and yesteryear actress Sheela.
The event honoured Mohanlal as the best actor of the year, while Jeethu Joseph also received the best director award for the film "Drishyam". Other awardees include Fahad Faasil, Nivin Pauly, Jayasurya, Asha Sarath, Gopi Sundar, Rafeeq Ahmed, Shewtha Menon, Ann Augustine, Sheela and Nazriya.
The gala event also saw the performances of Shankar Mahadevan, Rimi Tomy, Kainaat Arora, Pia Bajpai, Shamna Kasim, choreographer Sajna Najam and many others.
