In a bid to consolidate party’s base, AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) leader Arvind Kejriwal launched ‘Mission one Lakh Votes’ in Karawal Nagar constituency today.

The AAP chief entrusted a mission to each booth in-charges at Karawal Nagar constituency to reach out to one lakh voters before Delhi assembly election.

“Our internal survey suggests that there are some constituencies in which we will win with a good margin. However, we want to make that margin huge. Our party leader today entrusted to get one lakh votes in Karawal Nagar and has asked booth level workers to work on the mission,” party’s Karawal Nagar candidate Kapil Mishra said.

He added that Kejriwal has given a specific target for over 250 booths.

“There are some booths where we can get around 400-500 votes, but a target to make it 550-600 has been set. Similarly, there are 250 such booths. The campaigning work is being done strategically and the target is quite achievable,” Mishra said.

In another rally at Babarpur, Kejriwal tried to hardsell achievements during his 49-day rule and spelled out his party’s agenda for the next five years on issues ranging from security of women, youth to electricity and water.

“My dream is to make entire city Wi-Fi enabled and equipped with CCTV. When voted to power I would open 20 schools across the city,” he said.

Launching a scathing attack on BJP led government at the Center and Delhi administration, he once again appeal to the voters to elect him with full majority this time.

“BJP had promised to slash the electricity rates up to 30 per cent, but you see what actually happened. Instead, rates have been hiked twice since then.

“It has been working at the behest of businessman and aam aadmi is suffering under inflation,” the former Delhi chief minister said.

Another AAP leader and party candidate from Babarpur, Gopal Rai, who lost last assembly election by a narrow margin, said, “If you people want to live comfortably with power in your hands, give majority to AAP.”
