Perth homecoming for Malcolm

Having been away from *Perth * for more than a year, it's the longest model *Bridget Malcolm *has ever gone without seeing her family.

The *South Fremantle *-raised stunner, who is signed locally with Chadwick's Perth, has spent the past 12 months globetrotting as one of the most promising new faces on the international modelling scene.

But absence has made the heart grow fonder and New York-based Malcolm cannot wait to be reunited with her folks in late December.

"All I have been doing lately is daydreaming about leaving the aeroplane and seeing my beautiful family," the 22-year-old told _AAA Weekend _.

"Then driving straight to *South Beach *and jumping in, followed by a barbecue with the people I love."

It's certainly been a big year for Malcolm, who has already appeared in campaigns for Victoria's Secret and Marc Jacobs and walked the runway for Rodarte and Stella McCartney.

She landed her first cover in the form of V Magazine's "model mania" issue in July and continued to work with Ralph Lauren.

Malcolm admitted her trip home would be

all about rest and relaxation after such a busy year.

"There is no better way to do it than amongst a Fremantle summer," the former *Methodist Ladies' College * student said.

"I will remain focused on centring myself for next year and doing daily long runs, meditation, yoga and surfing."

The visit will be short and sweet, however, as Malcolm has a modelling job booked for January in Mexico.
