We May Have Found More 'American Horror Story' Season 5 Clues

The hunt for "American Horror Story" Season 5 clues continues as fans try to guess where Ryan Murphy will take his anthology series next. Back in November, we dug up some of the most convincing clues and theories about the upcoming season. Now, there seem to be even more.

(Spoiler alert if you don't want to know even the mildest speculation about Season 5.)

An unofficial "AHS" Instagram, which has been known to post spoiler photos from episodes before they air, recently posted three new photos that the account claims are Season 5 clues. The first is a black and white photo of a cornfield. Some fans speculated in the comments that the photo could point to a season related to "Children of the Corn," serial killer Ed Gein or Project MKUltra, known as the CIA's mind control program. Other considered the possibility that the cloudy skies above the cornfields relate to possible chemical or nuclear testings.

The second photo is a black and white image of an old farmhouse, which some noted looked rather similar to Kit and Alma's house from "Asylum." Could this be further evidence for the aliens theory?

One commenter predicted that Season 5 will be set in Alabama, which connects to the Operation Top Hat theory, bringing us to the third photo: a top hat.

We've already explained this theory, which suggests Season 5 could be about a 1953 "local field exercise" that occurred in Alabama. This exercise involved the U.S. Army's testing of biological and chemical weapons on involuntary human subjects. A handful of top hat images have appeared in "Freak Show" and Murphy has confirmed they relate to Season 5.

Keep your eyes out for more possible clues.

"American Horror Story: Freak Show" returns on Jan. 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET on FX.
