Chandrakant Karadalli to preside over 2nd Sahitya Sammelana

Noted writer Chandrakant Karadalli has been elected to be the President of the Second Yadgir District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana to be held in Yadgir city on January 24 and 25.

Executive Committee of the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat which met here on Sunday elected Mr. Karadalli, who is also the recipient of the National Best Teachers Award, was elected as the president of the sammelana, said Siddappa Hotti, district President of the Parishat.

A prolific writer, Mr. Karadalli had written 40 books and half of them were on children literature. Mr. Karadalli who retired as a teacher in 2012 had won the district, state and national best teacher award in 1992, 1999 and 2002 respectively.

Mr. Karadalli was the President of the First Children’s Sahitya Sammelana held at Surpur in 2010 and President of the First Shahapur taluk sahitya sammelana in 2011.
