Lucknow Calling "Mujhe toh Lucknow aane ke liye bahana chahiye hota hai," says an excited
Prakash Jha, who visited Lucknow on Saturday, his second trip to the city in a span of one month. He adds, "For a filmmaker like me, Lucknow is very inspiring. Yahan aate hi lagta hai jaise kisi dharohar mein aa gaya hoon. However, I don't feel the same way when I go to Patna, even though I am from there.
It's not that Patna is not main tained well as a city. If you see, it is growing in leaps and bound ever since the mall culture came there. The credit also goes to NIFT and IIT for making it happening. But all said and done, Lucknow ki baat hi alag hai."
Excited about shooting
Raajneeti 2 in Lucknow in the future, Jha is quite fascinated with the locations in the city. "Lucknow is quite popular in Bollywood today. A lot of films are being shot here. And even I have short-listed a few beautiful havelis in old Lucknow for my movie. But as everyone knows, the pre-production work of my movies takes a lot of time, so I don't think the shooting will start any time before 2016."

To which he says, "Raajneeti mein kuch log samajh baithe thay ki the movie is on them and iss andeshe ki wajah se woh kaafi pareshan bhi ho gaye thay. And if you see the movie, Katrina Kaif ne toh kitni saaf Hindi boli, unlike the person with whom she was compared to. Dekhte hain Raajneeti 2 mein kaun kaun pareshan hota hai! But yes, Narendra Modi has a great story for a movie, which is still unfolding. And you never know, Raajneeti 2 mein kya ho jaye!"
No Political Aspirations Telling us about his political aspirations, Jha, who lost from the West Champaran Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar for the third time in the last Lok Sabha elections, says, "See, I wanted to be an MP just to represent the common man, that's it! People as MPs today don't do what they are capable of and what they ideal ly should do for a common man.And I just wanted to do my bit. As far as the defeat in the last elections is concerned, pichhli baar main election ladna nahi chahta tha, woh toh Nitish Kumar ne force kiya toh main ladd gaya tha. Now I believe that jinka dharma raajneeti hai, unhi ko karni chahiye. I don't have any political aspirations now."
