Bio-safety sitting at Animals Sciences Uni

LAHORE - A three-day International training workshop on bio-safety held at University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences (UVAS) Lahore was concluded on Saturday.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha Dr Talat, who chaired the concluding session, said that all the participants of the workshop gained practical aspects about bio-safety and bio-security measures during these three days. He also lauded the effort of the workshop organisers.
Prof Dr Masood Rabbani said that every workshop, held under the leadership and support of VC Pasha, organised such type of mega events which was the best source of learning for professionals in homeland.
“In Pakistan, UVAS is the oldest mother institution in veterinary studies,” one of the workshop participants shared his views. He said that such training programmes were necessary for sharing innovative knowledge and skills development.
Earlier Shahida Qureshi, Elizabeth Thomas, Tim Treven also spoke on the occasion.
The vice chancellor also gave away certificates to all the participants of the workshop.
PU seminar: Punjab University Career Counseling & Placement Centre (CCPC), in collaboration with Teach for Pakistan, organised a seminar on Saturday at Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (ICET).
Director ICET Prof Dr Amir Ijaz, Assistant Prof Mudassar Azam and students were present on the occasion. The event started with Fateha for the departed souls of Peshawar massacre and the participants expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
In his address, Dr Amir Ijaz lauded the efforts of CCPC Chairman Dr Abdul Qayyum Ch and his team to organise such informative seminar for students.
Later, Ahmed, Anam and Maheen briefed about steps to get jobs in Teach for Pakistan.
RESULT DECLARED: Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of MA Islamic Studies Part-II annual examination 2014. Detailed results are also available at PU website www.pu.edu.pk.
