Centurion - Left-handed batsman Narsingh Deonarine will join the West Indies touring party in South Africa as an injury replacement for Assad Fudadin.
The West Indies Cricket Board made the announcement on Saturday.
Fudadin broke the little finger on his right hand during warm-ups on the opening day of the first Test at Centurion, where South Africa won on Saturday by an innings and 220 runs.
Deonarine's 18th and last Test was a year ago in New Zealand. He averages 26, and has taken 24 wickets with his right-arm offspin. In the last five weeks, he has scored 139 and 110 not out for Guyana in the West Indies four-day tournament.
