FINGADO, MARCELLA LOPEZ Marcella L. Fingado, age 75, of Albuquerque went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on November 27, 2014, after a battle with lymphoma. Born on January 17, 1939 in Socorro, NM to Patricio and Dulcinea Lopez, Marcella was the youngest of 12 children. She grew up in Socorro where she attended Mount Carmel Catholic School and graduated from Socorro High School. Marcella met Donald Fingado while he was attending New Mexico Tech in Socorro. They were married on November 4, 1961. She and Don lived in Hillsboro, NM, Huelva/ Moguer Spain, Pascagoula, MS, and settled in Truth or Consequences, NM, where they raised their four children. She was an active member in her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where she was a catechism teacher and organized the May Crowning in adoration of our Blessed Mother. Marcella loved to play bingo and cook with her grandchildren, converse with her children and friends, sew, play guitar, and dance. She was a charismatic person and will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, interesting conversations, and most importantly her love for Jesus Christ. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live in our hearts forever. She is survived by her children Frank Fingado, and wife Ida of Albuquerque, Karen Fingado and husband Pete Griswold of Kingwood, TX; Donna Domenici and husband Chuck of Albuquerque; Stephen Fingado of Albuquerque; grandchildren Jared Fingado, Emilie McGehee, Quinlan and Gabriella Domenici; her siblings Jenny Vargas of Los Angeles, CA; Ralph Lopez of TorC, NM; and Molly Didier of Las Vegas, NV; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Fingado, her parents, five brothers and three sisters. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 22, at 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2532 Vermont St., NE, Albuquerque 87110. A reception will follow the Mass. Interment will follow at a later date in TorC, NM.
