CEAMA awards Soon Kwon, MD, LG Electronics India with 'Man of Electronics' award

LUCKNOW: Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA) facilitated Soon Kwon, Managing Director, LG Electronics India with the 'Man of Electronics' award at their 35th annual function, held in New Delhi recently. The coveted award was presented by the chief guest of the event, Minister of State for Planning (Independent Charge) and Defence, Rao Inderjit Singh.
The prestigious 'Man of Electronics' award received by Kwon is recognition of his exceptional performance and contribution to the growth and promotion of consumer electronics industry in India.Being an LG veteran and having worked across global markets in the past 31 years, Kwon took over the position of Managing Director, LGE India in December 2010, to succeed LG's growing business footprint in India.
In his four years stint with LGE India, Kwon has successfully transformed the company's business strategy and image in the country and established LG as a premium consumer electronics brand, with an extremely strong and promising product portfolio. Under his leadership, LG has become one of the most loved consumer brands in the country and today India is one of the top five markets for LG Electronics globally.
Soon Kwon on being conferred the award said, "LG's localization strategy has paid off in the past few years in sustaining its leadership position in the consumer durable space in India. Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association is an all India organization in the consumer electronics and durables sector. It has been in existence for over 30 years. Presently, there are about 100 members in CEAMA and its vision is to play a strategic role in creating value addition for the consumer electronics and appliances industry through sustainable engagement with various stakeholders.
