After blockbuster superstar Salman Khan's Kick, King of romance Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year, Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan spread his wings with PK yesterday. The film has got a thunderous opening on its first day at the domestic box office, despite releasing on a non-holiday.

The film also starring Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput has been released in more than 5200 screens in India itself. According to early estimates, the film has collected approximately Rs 30-31 crores at the domestic box office.

According to Koimoi.com, the film performed its best in multiplexes and especially, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore received huge footfall.

Meanwhile, trade experts believe the movie could well be on its way to touch Rs 300 crore and turn into Bollywood's biggest ever entertainer.

Girish Johar, who keeps a pulse on the business of cinema, shared Friday that "'PK' has (had) a huge opening at all premium sites and top end cities. In mass regions, it is above average....Overall, very good start in early shows." Also
