Khadi exhibition from December 20

In all, 35 stalls will be set up for the event.

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has organised an exhibition of handicrafts and handloom products at the Veerashaiva Kalyana Mandir here from December 20 to 27, H.M. Srinivas, Joint Director of District Industries Centre, has said.

The products produced in the industrial units established in villages with financial assistance under the Prime Minister's Employment Guarantee Programme will be displayed in the exhibition. The objective of the exhibition is to provide rural entrepreneurs with an exposure to urban market, he said while addressing a press conference here on Friday. In all 35 stalls would be set up for the exhibition. The rural entrepreneurs will sell the traditional food products of Malnad region, ready made apparels, incense sticks, handicrafts and other items at the exhibition, he said.
