Rich Vietnamese get taste for Japan's bubble-era baubles

HANOI -- Vietnam's growing ranks of middle class and wealthy consumers are falling for pricey, flashy products made by Japanese companies during Japan's bubble economy of the late 1980s and early '90s.

     According to U.K. research company Euromonitor International, there were about 100,000 Vietnamese households with annual disposable incomes over $75,000 in 2013, up threefold from five years earlier.
