IIT, JAM 2015 mock test now available at Website

The aim of the IISc Bangalore and IITs is to build a sound foundation of knowledge, pursue excellence and enhance creativity in an intellectually stimulating environment. The current pace of advancement of technology needs a coherent back-up of basic science education and research.

Mock test for the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Admission to Master of Science 2015 (IIT JAM 2015) is now available at the website. The mock test is for demonstration purpose only. It contains important test-day instructions.

IIT JAM is an all India common entrance examination conducted by the IITs for admission into integrated Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D) degree programs, Master of Science (M Sc), Joint M Sc-PhD, M Sc-PhD Dual degree, M Sc-Master of Technology (M Tech) and other Post Bachelor Degree Programs offered by the IITs and the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc Bangalore).

The IIT JAM 2015 will be conducted on Sunday, February 8, 2015. Session- I will be held from 9 am to 12 noon for Biological Sciences (BL), Mathematics (MA) and Physics (PH) papers. Session II will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm for the Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG) and Mathematical Statistics (MS) papers.

The candidates can do most of their interactions with JAM through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JAPS) interface provided at the JAM 2015 website. The candidates can login to JAPS through their JAPS Enrolment ID and JAPS Password.

What is new in JAM 2015?

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guhawati is the organizing institute for JAM 2015.

JAM 2015 examination will be conducted online only as a Computer Based Test (CBT) for all test papers.

All the seven test papers of JAM 2015 will be of fully objective type, with three different patterns of questions as follows:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Each MCQ type question has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) that are correct out of the four given choices.
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions: For each NAT type question, the answer is a signed real number which needs to be entered using the virtual keypad on the monitor. No choices will be shown for these type of questions.

All candidates have to apply only online.

No hardcopies of documents (except challan) are to be sent to the organizing institute. The documents (if applicable) are to be uploaded to the online application website only.
