Jackky Bhagnani may be the butt of jokes online, but the actor says he’s unfazed by the trolls.
“Any publicity, whether good or bad, is good for an actor in our industry,” says Jackky, who played the Indian Prime Minister in Youngistaan, a Hindi remake of Telugu film Leader.

His character is said to have been modelled on Rahul Gandhi. “I know people within the industry and outside are making fun of the fact that we’ve sent it to the Oscars, but they can’t change a thing about it.
And why can’t my film make it to the Oscars? It is the story of an Indian PM in a live-in relationship – who has ever touched this subject? I am not surprised or shocked that they accepted our entry, every actor and director makes his/her film with the conviction that it is the best,” he adds.
