Former assistant Dublin City and County Manager George Redmond has waived his right to sue the State for damages after the Planning Tribunal agreed to withdraw findings of corruption against him.

The legal team who represented the 90-year-old pensioner at the Tribunal will receive their fees after a finding that Mr Redmond hindered and obstructed the tribunal - which meant he was not entitled to costs - was also quashed.
