Big foreign players pass initial phase

 OSAKA -- Several overseas companies, including the operator of Singapore's Changi Airport, may participate in bidding for rights to run the two main hubs for flights into the Osaka area -- Kansai Airport and Osaka International Airport.

     The pack also includes Macquarie Group, an Australian investment bank with expertise in infrastructure, and a unit of U.S. investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners, which runs the U.K.'s Gatwick Airport and has close ties with Japanese trading house Mitsubishi Corp.
